Entrepreneur Ranjit Singh Boparan is the founder and owner of food manufacturing company 2 Sisters Food Group and President of parent company Boparan Holdings Limited (BHL)..

Born in August 1966 in Bilston, West Midlands, Ranjit left school aged 16 to work in a butcher's shop. He founded 2 Sisters Food Group in 1993 with a small bank loan. Initially a frozen retail poultry cutting operation, 2 Sisters has grown and expanded to cover more than 20 manufacturing sites in the UK and Europe. The group directly employs more than 13,000 people, and with annual sales exceeding £3billion.

Over the past 32 years, the company has evolved from a small scale operation to a world class diversified food manufacturer with strong market positions in Poultry, Prepared Meals and Bakery categories. The company focuses on delivering the highest quality product to customers at the lowest cost. UK customers include Aldi, Asda, Co-op, KFC, Marks & Spencer, Morrison's, Sainsbury's and Tesco.

He received an honorary doctorate from Nottingham Trent University in July 2015, “in recognition of his significant contribution to the food manufacturing industry, to education and the development of his workforce, and for his philanthropic interests.”
