Ali Belhaj is the Chief Executive Officer of Hippone Holding, a family-owned Moroccan group active in logistics, industrial real estate, and agriculture. Under his leadership, Hippone has made the strategic choice to transition a significant part of its agricultural operations toward regenerative agriculture, positioning sustainability not as a communication tool, but as a core operational and economic model.

Hippone’s agricultural activities span citrus fruits, olives, and aromatic and medicinal plants, with a strong emphasis on soil regeneration, biodiversity restoration, water efficiency, and long-term farm resilience. The group’s approach is based on measurable outcomes, long-term land stewardship, and the conviction that profitable agriculture and ecosystem regeneration must go hand in hand.

Ali Belhaj has an extensive background in both business and public service. He previously served as President of the Oriental Region of Morocco and held several leadership roles in regional development, investment promotion, and climate action, including Vice-President of R20 – Regions of Climate Action.

He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from Casablanca and an MBA from the University of Southern California. He began his career in corporate finance and restructuring before expanding into real estate and agriculture.

Ali Belhaj regularly speaks at international forums on sustainable development, governance, and ethics, and is particularly engaged in advancing practical, scalable models of regenerative agriculture adapted to emerging markets.
