Annette Kliemann

Delegation of the European Union to the United Kingdom
Dr. Annette Kliemann is a diplomat at the European Union Delegation to the United Kingdom since 2022. In her capacity as the Delegation’s agricultural and food counsellor she follows all relevant topics related to UK farming and agri-food trade, including on trade and SPS matters. Before her time in London, Ms. Kliemann worked in various legal and policy functions at DG Agriculture in the European Commission.
A German lawyer by training, Dr. Kliemann spent many years practising EU antitrust and state aid law, at the European Commission, in a leading law firm, within private companies and at international organisations such as the EFTA Surveillance Authority.
