Group Quality, Technical and Sustainability Director , Tesco

Claire Lorains was appointed as Group Quality, Technical and Sustainability Director in May this year. Claire and her team are responsible for delivering safe, legal, responsibly sourced, quality products across food, home and clothing including leading our work on policy and regulation. They also lead our work on human rights and own the Group blueprint. Finally, they are responsible for developing and delivering, in conjunction with the business, our sustainability plans to achieve our target of Net Zero by 2050. The work on sustainability includes environment, sustainable agriculture, healthy and sustainable diets, packaging, and food waste. 

Before moving to this role, Claire has held a number of roles at Tesco including Group Strategy and Innovation Director and Chief Executive Officer of Tesco Mobile.
