Elena Avenati
Elena Avenati is the Head of Child Rights and Business Sustainability at Save the Children Italia, where she has been leading the development of strategic partnerships with companies to support them in promoting human rights and defining development projects aimed at improving the living conditions of the local communities where the companies operate. She has been with Save the Children since 2008.
A graduate in Political Science from the University of Turin, with a Master's degree in European Studies from the College of Europe in Belgium, she has gained professional experience in the areas of international cooperation and sustainable development with several nonprofit organizations and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in Italy and abroad (Iraq and Burundi).
She is an active member of the “SDG 17” working group of the Italian Alliance for Sustainable Development.
