Nicholas Mazzei is VP Sustainability in Europe for DP World, having moved in 2023 from the fashion and e-commerce sector as Zalando’s Head of Social and Environmental Sustainability. Nicholas’ first career was as a British Army Officer in the Royal Army Education Corps, where he served 9 years across the United Kingdom. This included operational tours of Afghanistan, Northern Ireland, and Kosovo, where he covered duties such as media relations, government policy and civil engagement. In 2014, Nicholas left the Army to join BT Plc, and spent two years in the Openreach engineering division running strategic transformation projects. In 2016 he moved to BT Group to be Head of Corporate Social Responsibility, leading the company’s global social impact programmes.
