Tim Fitzgerald was appointed American Seafoods’ first Chief Sustainability Officer in 2021. In this role he oversees all aspects of the company’s sustainability strategy, including initiatives on carbon accounting and decarbonization, optimization of packaging and operational waste, technology innovation and ESG reporting. Prior to joining American Seafoods Tim spent nearly two decades with Environmental Defense Fund’s Oceans Program, leading their global engagement with the seafood industry, investors and multilateral organizations. He is an insufferable ocean optimist and sucker for cool gadgets.
