Aliya is the Sustainability Manager at the Consumer Goods Forum (CGF), a CEO-led organisation bringing together global consumer goods retailers and manufacturers on collaborative industry action. Aliya manages and helped launch the CGF coalitions on food waste and plastic waste, that jointly bring together over 50 leading businesses under a common strategy and set of commitments to drive positive change. Before joining CGF, Aliya worked on sustainable lifestyles and education at the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP), as well as on sustainable tourism and building design at EarthCheck.

Prior to that, Aliya was a community organiser for an election campaign against state deforestation at The Wilderness Society in Queensland, Australia. Aliya holds a High Honours degree in Environmental Management and Sustainable Development from the Griffith University, in Brisbane Australia.
