Anne Bordier
Director of Sustainable Diets, World Resources Institute
Anne has spent all her career in the food industry, working in diverse roles across market research, consultancy, training, and programme management. Prior to joining WRI, she spent a large part of her career at IGD, a not-for-profit organisation which works in partnership with food and consumer goods businesses to drive positive change. This has enabled her to gain a deep understanding of how the food system operates and the challenges it faces.
During her time at IGD, Anne has built powerful networks and scaled several collaborative initiatives with a wide range of stakeholders across industry, academia, NGOs and government. These have focused on issues such as youth employability, inclusion & diversity, nutrition, food waste reduction and sustainable packaging systems. She’s initiated IGD’s flagship research into healthy and sustainable diets, in partnership with behaviour change experts and leading food businesses.
An agricultural engineer by training, Anne holds a MSc in marketing and product management from Cranfield University in the UK. She is passionate about the potential for the food system to evolve to deliver better outcomes for people and the planet.
