Anoushka Harris is the Sustainability Lead for Westmill Foods; one of Europe’s largest specialist food companies, manufacturer, and supplier of authentic Asian and Afro-Caribbean food. Their product range includes high-quality rice, spices, sauces, edible oils, flour, and noodles, which are sold to partners in wholesale as well as cash and carry, food service, grocery, and B2B.
Prior to her role at Westmill, she graduated from the University of Leeds with a degree in Sustainability and Environmental Management in 2019. She leads Westmill’s Sustainability Strategy which focuses on 3 key areas: Support Communities, Reduce Waste and Promote Inclusivity. As part of our Reduce Waste pillar, a key focus is the progress against the UK Plastic Pact. They have a number of projects in place in order to meet the needs of the rapidly changing packaging landscape.
She is also excited to start the first MSc in Sustainability for Business with Cranfield University which will also enable her to network with like-minded individuals across a variety of different sectors.
